Nickent Golf is going out of businessNickent golf was put in receivership in May 2009, and finally had to close its doors in November 2009 as they couldn't come to a deal with the banks to keep the company ongoing. Nickent was best known for their hybrids, and even had Jim Furyk using them on the PGA Tour. With aspirations to grow into a full fledged golf equipment manufacturer, Nickent tried to produce products for all aspects of the golf bag, including Drivers, Irons, and putters. It's very hard for a company to compete with the big manufacturers, and it finally caught up with them.
![]() The Nickent golf line is being marked down by every golf store to try and liquidate the inventory. Don't miss out on picking up some fantastics clubs for a bargain price. I would seriously seek out and purchase a few Nickent hybrids before they are gone. Hybrids are becoming more popular with amateurs because they are much easier to hit and get the ball up in the air than a 3-iron, 4-iron or even a 5-iron.
I was just recently in the PGA Superstore and saw the 3DX Ironwoods marked down to $49.95 and the 5DX ironwoods marked down to $99.95. That is a truly great price for a brand new hybrid. If you would like to find an even better deal, look in the used club bins to see if their are any Nickent products. I picked up a used Nickent 3DX Ironwood 20 degree hybrid for $14.00. I couldn't pass on that price.
